Layout tips
Create a 36" walkway to the closet
Treat the route from the door to the closet and bathroom as a hallway. Keep it at least 3 feet wide so two people can pass.
Put the TV on the wall opposite the bed
Mount or stand the TV centered on the foot-of-bed wall. Forty-two to fifty inches off the floor reads well from a reclined position.
Use a rug to anchor a seating zone
An armchair and a small rug in the corner turns dead space into a reading nook and makes a large room feel intentional.
