Small Bedroom Layout (10×10) Template
A 10×10 bedroom is one of the most common room sizes in apartments and starter homes. It fits a queen bed comfortably, but only if you respect clearances around the bed and the door swing. This template gives you a tested starting layout you can open and rearrange.

Layout tips
Leave at least 24" to walk around the bed
Aim for a minimum 2-foot clearance on the sides of the bed you use to get in. If you can only afford clearance on one side, push the bed into the opposite corner.
Float the bed on the longest unbroken wall
Centering the headboard on the wall without the door or closet keeps the room symmetrical and leaves room for nightstands on both sides.
Watch the door swing
A standard 30" door needs a clear quarter-circle to open. Keep the dresser and any tall furniture out of that arc.
